David Johnson

David Johnson has been involved in nature and birdwatching since 1974. He has been working as a Wildlife Officer in London’s Regent’s Park since 1991. He has always had a keen interest in birds of prey which he developed into becoming a falconer (1978-1990). In 2003 when he learnt that a pair of Peregrine Falcons were attempting to breed near his home he did all he could to help them breed successfully. His actions and subsequent work have meant they have bred ever since. David's dedication to this species was recognised by the Metropolitan Police Service, who awarded him with a commendation on 19th September 2007 for Hard work, advice and assistance to the MPS Wildlife Unit. He is also an active member of the London Peregrine Working Group.
